In support of Toronto’s Mental Health Awareness Week, Arrabon House is hosting their first annual “Stop The Crazy” movement/fundraiser this Saturday, May 12.

Schedule:

2pm – Information fair and check-in point where you can buy white Stop The Crazy T-shirts and wristbands. Where: Masaryk Cowan Community Centre, 220 Cowan Ave — less than a minute’s walk from Queen St.

3pm – Volunteers will head to designated spots on Queen starting at Roncesvalles, on the corners or every street to help make it all come together.

4pm-4:30pm – We stand together and make the bold statement that we will not be silent anymore. One person at a time will remove their tape from the start to the end of the chain followed by some chanting.

4:45pm-6pm(ish) – We will head back to the community centre for a BBQ, more information, and some cool stuff including raffles and free stuff for the kids (and kids at heart).

The fundraising then continues into the night at The Sister pub, 1554 Queen St. W, featuring a live band, stand-up comedy and a silent auction to raise money for Arrabon House.

Cakes by Carrie is a proud supporter of Stop The “Crazy” and will be donating cupcakes to the silent auction.
